En 1887, la ligne Lyon St Just - Mornant est ouverte. Elle était longue de 33 km et permettait de relier Mornant depuis Lyon en 45 minutes en passant par Tassin, Craponne, Grézieu, Brindas, Messimy, Soucieu en Jarrest, Orlienas et St Laurent d'Agny.

La compagnie des chemins de fer de Fourvière et de l'ouest Lyonnais puis la Compagnie des Omnibus et Tramway de Lyon exploitera la ligne jusqu'en 1957, si elle avait pu tenir 15 ans de plus, peut être qu'avec les chocs pétroliers et les problèmes de circulations lyonnais (sans parler des problèmes écologiques), on aurait continué son exploitation. D'ailleurs une étude a été lancé pour une hypothétique réouverture de la ligne lyon-Vaugneray sur son ancien tracé.

This tramway has worked until 1957. During the sixties, the car is the queen in France, every little railroad is closed, so this tramway was replaced by a bus. But It was certainly a bad choice and I hope that the tramway will be reopened a day.

14.00 - Trouvée avec Rockley - nous avons cherché à comprendre ou l'ancien chemin de fer passait, c'est difficile à imaginer, vu les pentes du terrain de nos jours.
Belle cache - Merci - mis - Porte Clés Poker - pris - rien.

Trouvée à 18H10 par Azertyuiop69 qui découvrait le chemin pris fréquemment par son père pour accéder en VTT aux monts du lyonnais ! Endroit sympa mais virage sablonneux, redoutable en vélo !

19:30. FTF ! This was a bonus cache to find. I was sitting at my computer after work when an email came in at 18:59 notifying me of a new cache in the area. When I looked to see where it was, I saw that it was in the next village to where I live at Brindas. Of course, the temptation was too great, so I went straight out and found the cache within a few minutes of searching. This is a very pleasant area to hide a cache, and plenty of fruit trees all around.
